The "Twin Pillars" Entrance (from The Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland)
The entrance to the Garden is between two pillars of Bog-Oak, 5000 year old semi-fossilised wood from the peat bogs of IRELAND. Since the beginning, the BB has boasted, as its foundation, what has been known as the "Twin Pillars" of RELIGION and DISCPLINE and these words have been carved onto the Pillars.
These Pillars were presented jointly by the BB in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
